Editorial Reviews:

US Deluxe LEATHER edition of the Sorcerer's Stone, released as a limited run in November 2000 and now out of print. Bound in high quality green leather with 22kt gold lettering on the cover and gold gilt edging. Case protected by clear acetate dust cover. Includes a full color cover inlay as well as illustrations throughout the book. This collector's edition was art directed and designed by David Saylor. Mary GrandPre's artwork for both the case inset and the interior was created using pastels on toned printmaking paper. The text was set in 12-point Adobe Garamond, a typeface based on the sixteenth century type designs of Claude Garamond, redrawn by Robert Slimbach in 1989. The book is printed on 70 pound acid-free Potter Offset paper, specially manufactured for Scholastic by Fraser Papers in West Carrollton, Ohio. The case is wrapped in Taratan Bonded Leather produced at Corium Corporation in Seabrook, New Hampshire, a division of Cromwell Leather Group. The book was printed and bound at Quebecor World-Hawkins in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Managing Editor was Manuela Soares and the Manufacturing Director was Angel Biola. Frontis in pen and ink by JK Rowling signed in facsimile, not in previous editions.
